DDS percentages creep up every year we benchmark the transportation business. Now that nearly every OEM is shipping the vast majority of parts on DDS, we need a better understanding of where the industry is headed as well as what OEMs are doing to manage the meeting. We’ll handle this session in two stages: first, we’ll benchmark and discuss what OEMs are thinking with DDS. We’ll look at measurement of how each OEM uses DDS, DDS on time performance, DDS route creation in partnership with carriers, criteria to select and manage carriers, and how to drive carrier responsiveness. In the second half of the session, a DDS carrier will be invited into the room to share the future of DDS from their perspective. Rather than a commercial for the carrier, this will serve as the “insider view” on what the world looks like from the other side.
